For Referring Clinicians

Collaborative psychiatric care and TMS services in Pasco and Hernando Counties.

Our Role in Your Patient's Care

Mindcare Psychiatry & TMS works collaboratively with primary care providers, specialists, and licensed mental health professionals to support patients requiring psychiatric evaluation, medication management, or transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS).

  • We value collaborative relationships and continuity for our shared patients.

  • We communicate diagnostic impressions and treatment updates with appropriate consent.

  • We are available for consultation or ongoing management, depending on what best serves the patient.

When to Refer

Consider referral for:

  • Treatment-resistant depression

  • Patients not tolerating medications

  • Persistent anxiety or mood instability

  • Diagnostic clarification

  • Consideration of TMS

    • Especially appropriate for patients who have not achieved adequate relief after multiple antidepressant trials.

  • Patients seeking structured psychiatric oversight

Communication Philosophy

We value timely communication and professional collaboration. With appropriate releases, we may provide updates regarding diagnostic impressions, medication changes, and TMS progress. We view ourselves as part of your patient’s broader care team.

TMS Information for Clinicians

Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is an FDA-cleared, non-invasive neuromodulation treatment for major depressive disorder and certain related conditions. It is typically considered for patients who have not achieved adequate response or tolerability with antidepressant medications.

Treatment is delivered in-office over a standard course (generally 5 sessions per week for approximately 6 weeks), followed by taper when indicated. Patients remain awake and resume normal activities immediately following sessions.

At Mindcare, TMS treatment is physician-directed and delivered within a structured clinical program, including diagnostic evaluation, treatment planning, and symptom monitoring throughout the course of care.

We are available for consultation regarding patient selection and appropriateness of referral.
