Justin Rossi, MD, PhD

​Dr. Justin Rossi is a board-certified psychiatrist with advanced training and longstanding clinical and research focus in neuromodulation, including Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). He serves as the Founding Medical Director of the neuromodulation program at Mindcare.

Dr. Rossi was raised in Pasco County, where his father, Dr. Peter Rossi, has served the community as an interventional cardiologist for more than three decades. Inspired by this example, Dr. Rossi pursued a career in medicine grounded in both scientific rigor and service.

After graduating from Harvard University, Dr. Rossi completed the highly competitive dual M.D.–Ph.D. program at the University of Florida College of Medicine, with doctoral training in neuroscience. His early research in brain stimulation earned multiple awards and helped shape his expertise in the science underlying neuromodulation.

He went on to complete advanced clinical training in psychiatry at UCSF, Columbia University, Weill Cornell Medicine, and Duke University.

As a professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medical School, Dr. Rossi served as a co-investigator on landmark clinical trials in advanced TMS protocols, including accelerated TMS approaches for depression and OCD. Across his career, Dr. Rossi has authored dozens of peer-reviewed publications in the neuromodulation field.​

Having returned to the Tampa Bay area, Dr. Rossi brings his expertise in neuromodulation back to the community that shaped him. His goal as Medical Director at Mindcare is to lead a clinical program that delivers leading-edge treatment and compassionate care.
